Old tech. New life.
Saudade is an independent home for classic electronic devices and the people who are curious about them. We begin with the iPod: its design, its purpose, and the practical questions that matter when bringing one back into everyday life.
How we work
Our first profiles and field notes draw on original Apple announcements and published documentation. Each includes sources and a review date. We distinguish source-checked facts from editorial advice and mark material that has not been hands-on tested.
About the images
The device images are AI-generated concepts for the visual direction of this project. They can differ from real hardware. They are not photographs, and should not be used to identify a model, judge condition, or establish authenticity. Consult the written profiles and original sources instead.
Independence
Saudade is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Apple Inc. This version has no ads, paid products, seller recommendations, or affiliate links. Product names are used to identify the devices discussed. This English-first edition is written for an international audience; prices, availability, shipping, and consumer protections vary by country.
